Description:
JMJ Shipping Company INC. is a newly established recycling facility in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. I am currently refurbishing rail siding on our property, and making property modifications to start the process of shipping scrap metal. We have a potential supplier who is interested in the shipping of his scrap metal inventory from our facility on rail as an alternative for shipping it all over the country by truck. Our company is dedicated to helping the environment by decreasing the amount of diesel trucks on the road. We also will be contributing to the decreasing of congestion of trucks on highways which is becoming a cause for concern. We already have established networks with the Providence and Worcester Railroad, and Amtrack who have been helping us with the start up. We are requesting investing capital so that we can make property modifications that will help us control the inventory in an environmentally friendly manner. these modifications include concrete slabs, concrete dividers, and water control. These specifications are due to a required permit by the Department of Environmental Protection. Also we need to chain link fence the property in accordance with the same permit for control of trespassing and misuse of the property. We are also requesting funding for an initial down payment on a large excavator with a magnet and claw attachment for purposes of loading up the railroad carts. This is a wonderful investing opportunity because it is geared towards the benefit of the environment, and it is contributing to the alleviation of diesel trucks on the highway. This opportunity will also contribute to the revival of freight by railroad as gas prices continue to increase at a rapid pace. Also with the demand for commodities, along with recycled metal increasing mixed with other economic factors, this is an investment that would beneficial to everyone who is involved with it.
