A synopsis of my invention: I have taken a nasal aspirator that is extremely effective and modified it to make it more marketable in America.

The original device is in use overseas. It is very intimidating and undiscerning although miraculously effective. I have modified the device to be equally effective and at the same time removed any negative feelings a consumer would have had using it in it’s original form.

I am not an inventor by nature. I had a 3 month old child who was sick with a succession of colds for over 12 months. I stumbled upon this overseas device and overlooked the unpleasantries of trying it because I was desperate. I had been to 6 different specialists and pediatricians with my child to no avail. This product saved my life! After having 3 children, I can honestly say it was my most valued baby product (aside from a pacifier and sippy cup : ) )

As word got out what I had discovered, I inevitably would get the desperate phone call from other parents who had a sick child that was unable to breathe. Every single person that has come to me and used the device is hooked. They want one that second! The mass marketing problem is that the general public doesn’t have me to explain how it works and sell them beyond their perceived fear of using it. That is where my invention comes in…

The FDA has removed all cold medicines from the shelves for babies and toddlers. My product gives the parent a sense of control when the feel the most helpless. They have tangible evidence that they are helping their child feel better. (Not that anyone really wants to look at a vial of mucous!)

My product clears a baby’s nose instantly. It is non-invasive like the other nasal aspirators on the market. It can be used as frequently as you would need to blow your nose. My design also incorporates a secondary feature. There is NO comparison to my device with what is out on the market right now. I have video footage of my 2 year old using the device by herself (with my supervision, of course) and laughing while she is using it. Although it is gross, you can see the secretions being removed from her nose all the while she’s laughing! The video speaks for itself. Being in television production, I couldn’t have staged it better!

This device would be a staple in ever household with children from birth to 5 years old. It would be sold in baby stores, retail chains, drug stores, online, or anywhere baby or health related products are sold.
