Description:
Aquarian Pictures is an indie movie collective founded in 1999 by a group of uber-talented progressively educated college kids. Since our founding we have produced five+ movies, one of the best of which can be seen here:

But on shoestring budgets and personally financed pieces, we are only able to make this a hobby. We have a movie concept that makes it real.

The box office success of Beowulf and the surprise Hit of Miley
Cyrus' Hannah Montana concert show in 3-D has sent movie theatre
chains nationwide scrambling to equip their movie theatres to be
able to handle 3-D movie playback by 2009.

Over the next two years, Warner Brothers, Columbia Pictures and Universal (just to name a few) are scrambling to release the "next big 3-D epic" beginning with a movie adaptation of a well-received game series by the name of WARCRAFT and ending with a CG movie version of the eighties beloved cartoon series, the Smurfs.

It's obvious to anyone who makes movies (as well as spectators) that movie studios have shot themselves in the proverbial foot in regards to creativity in production, being dependent as they are on formulaic storylines and A-list talent attachments based on market driven research and factored by an amazing dependence on re-makes and popular video games. Though the process does create revenue, using 3-D as a gimmick will only boost ticket sales so far, as evinced in the 50s when stereovision movies were all the rage. However, after a few years of somewhat inflated ticket sales, audiences stopped paying for the analglyph experience if the story was found to be lacking. It is our postulation, then, that in the next few years, movie theatres and consequently, production companies will experience a momentary increase in ticket sales based on the rebirth of 3-D. In support of our earlier argument about lacking stroylines and A-list attachments, Brendan Fraser is only just releasing his 3-D epic, Journey to the Center of the Earth, a story that has been told at least 6 times in recorded cinematic history.
Our film is different because it is story and character driven and the only comparison we can make to other films is what would happen if you started with Star Wars, multiplied it by Willow and then factored in the square roots of Logan's Run, Buck Rogers and Fern Gully and then, divided the result by George W. Bush.
Faerieland is the first of its kind live action fantasy movie told by only fairytale creatures of all kinds with no connection to the human world save their society and world events. And with an emphasis on parallels to the human world, we believe it will re-define the storytelling technique known as "filmmaking." We will begin with a trailer shot for 3-D playback and use that as the jumping point to solicit funds for a full length version based on the screenplay by Mike Lugo.
