• GlobalCitizen.me will employ market forces by creating the forum where the individual,
philanthropists, nonprofits and businesses work on social projects within an internet
micro-economy. A reward system will create usable "credits" to encourage individuals to
educate themselves and actively participate. This Advanced Social Networking model
will offer alternatives to the current business models used by MySpace and Facebook.
GlobalCitizen.me will champion the evolving field of Global Citizenship Education to
empower & train members to scale up many projects into major social movements with
100M plus members advancing high tech environmentalism and better human relations.
• Social Networking, a very new phenomenon, has barely begun to scratch the surface of
its potential for social benefit. GlobalCitizen.me will introduce advanced and innovative
ideas to tap into this great reservoir of goodwill that is within all of us: the American
citizen evolving into the Global Citizen. With the world and our economies in the midst
of very serious danger now, citizens demand answers and are eager to contribute and do
what it takes to solve our daunting issues. A detailed blueprint is developing of how a
system of action and rewards, education and communication, global networks and
cooperation- with complete accountability and measurable results- is within our reach.
• “GlobalCitizen” can become the foundation to support a wide variety of game changing
business models. So called “disruptive technologies” can include visionary concepts
such as a worldwide high-speed electric rail systems, solar thermal-desalination plants
producing fresh water from the sea- and electric power; hydrogen powered ocean liners
and airplanes, reforestation projects and advanced food production techniques and more.
This is the time and the opportunity for the United Stated to lead the development and
deployment of these revolutionary technologies which are the solutions to reverse nonsustainable energy and resource use around the world. These renewable energy based
technologies can fuel our transportation, electricity generation and major industry
needs—while vastly reducing pollution. These goals can revive our economies, create
many new jobs, improve foreign relations and drive cooperation while defining us as the
role models creating a clean energy and natural resource future around the world.
• GlobalCitizen.me can define many essential movements to pursue where individuals, and
groups contribute ideas, knowledge and work, not unlike the info managed on Wikipedia.
A prime example is the need to reform the global financial system. The international
system of floating exchange rates, unstable stock exchanges world-wide and the great
fluctuations in commodity and food pricing have exposed a very broken business model.
Our global financial meltdown is mainly due to vaporizing trillions of dollars of illusory
wealth-- created by an endless stream of junk rated debt instruments and very easy credit.
Members post projects and coordinate with Nonprofit efforts in specific areas. Other members can then submit ideas and solutions, volunteer time and expertise and earn credits. Other Nonprofits and donors can join in to advance and strengthen the movement.
